Christ is in our midst. On October 30 the Church remembers the Apostle Tertius, who wrote down St. Paul’s letter to the Romans. At the end of that letter, Paul greets the churches, one person at a time, by name. “The churches of Christ greet you.”

On Friday, October 30, Eastern Orthodox Christians from parishes across the South will meet online, for one evening of fellowship. 7:30 to 8:30 Central. 8:30 to 9:30 Eastern.

You’ll have three-minute conversations, one on one, then rotate to someone new. Meet a brother or sister from another parish. Hear how they came to the Church. No app. No sign-up. Just your first name, and your parish.

What the evening looks like

  • Welcome. Everyone gathers together for opening prayer and the host says a few words.
  • Three-minute conversations. The site pairs you with one person at a time, with a gentle question to start you off.
  • Someone new. When the timer ends, you meet the next person.
  • Closing. Everyone comes back together before we finish with closing prayer.
  • Pray for those you met. The last screen lists everyone you spoke with: “Pray For Those You Met Today. Please hold one another in your prayers this week.”
